What made it hard
When Steve led the river for $4,000, Nguyen raised to $221,000, enough to put Steve all in. Nguyen had called before the flop and on the flop, then bet the turn when Steve checked. The river paired the tens on a board that already had two fives. Any five, any ten or pocket threes now made a full house or better and beat Steve's aces and tens. Every other hand lost to them, except the other two aces, which would split the pot. Calling meant putting his last $217,000 into a pot of $531,500, with nobody else in the hand.
